I am thrilled that you have joined us and are interested in knowing more about our church and myself.
Here is my story of how I met Jesus.....
I did not grow up in a Christian home nor did I have any Christian friends to influence me in the ways of God. Because of this, I lived my life just like any other lost person. I began drinking at age 16 and within two years I was an alcoholic. The next 10 years were filled with nothing but drinking and partying.
My wife and I were not attendees of any church. She happened to go to church one Sunday morning and came home so excited about what she had heard. She begged me to go to church with her that night but I refused. My wife asked me every night for the next week to attend church with her and I finally gave in and went on Friday night. It was a night in my life that I will never forget. I met the Lord Jesus in a wondrous way as I experienced His forgiving touch in my life.
A year later I felt that Jesus was calling me into the ministry to preach His word. I moved my family to Columbia, S.C. and attended Columbia Bible College. After graduation we moved to Ft. Worth, Texas in which I attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary studying in their Master of Divinity Program. After seminary I decided to stay in Ft. Worth and enter the business world rather than seek a church to serve. But God had other plans and we moved to California working with a church in San Juan Capistrano, Ca. After 18 months I resigned that position and again entered the business world focusing my time and energy in the wrong direction rather than serving Jesus. Once again the Lord had other plans for my life and in 1993 I became the senior pastor of this wonderful church.
I can truly say that I have never been more content or happy in my whole life. I have a love for Jesus and a love for the souls of anyone wanting to know Him. If you are looking for a church to call home, I warmly invite you to join us as we worship the King of this Universe. Even if you live outside of CA, I would love for you to join us in worship when you visit our area. I look forward to seeing you.
